More cards

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Grab a glass of tea and check out a couple of cards I made recently!
This first one is a Thank-you card that I have done some paper quilting on.  (For those who don't know, I have made a few fabric quilts in the past)  I used paper from the Close To My Heart CHANTILLY paper packet which I think is very 'spring-y'!  I also used Cotton Candy cardstock and in.  Two stamp sets were used, GIRL'S ROCK for the little flower, and FOR A FRIEND for the sentiment.  Doing the little quilt block was lots of fun, and no sewing was required!!

My next card uses the BUZZ AND BUMBLE paper packet and Sunset, Cocoa, and Champaigne cardstocks.  Cocoa and Goldrush inks.  The flower is made with BURLAP RIBBON.  I rubbed COLOR READY SEAM BINDING RIBBON with my Sunset ink pad to color it the pretty orange and was real happy with how it turned out.  The sentiment is from the FLORAL HAPPINESS stamp set, which happens to be our March Stamp of the Month.  You can get this 16 piece stamp set for only $5 with a $50 order during the month of March!  Check it out!

All of these products and more are available in our Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book or online at my website HEREPlease share it with your friends too!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked my cards.  I have one more I made but can't post it yet because it is on it's way west and I don't want them to see it on here before they get it!!
Come back soon and HAPPY CRAFTING!

CTMH Projects

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I have to tell you, before I continue, if you plan to come to my CTMH Open House this Sunday (Feb. 24, 2-4 pm at my house) you may not want to look at the pics on this post! It is some of the things I have made to show at my open house!!  But, if you don't care if you see them ahead, then feel free to look at the pictures!!
OK, with that said....the first thing I want to show you is a card I made.  I will try to link the CTMH products in the post that I used.  My LOVE card is made using Black, White and Twilight cardstock.   The black and white print squares are our new For Always Textiles.  Two of our Spring/Summer collections have the textile packs available.  Each pack comes with 3 different prints.  The letters for the word LOVE are cut on the cricut using the Art Philosophy catridge.    Edges are inked with Twilight.  I used Sparkle Flourishes on the bottom.  The sentiment on the inside of the card is from one of the stamp sets that comes with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

The next project is the 5x7 Display Tray.  It is black and is a lot of fun to work with!!  These would make excellent gifts!   I used the Buzz and Bumble paper pack.  It is,  I think, my favorite of the current B&T paper packs!  Some of the things I used on this project are: Burlap Ribbon, cocoa stamp pad, Wooden Badge Buttons (which I inked with the cocoa stamp pad!), and the February Stamp of the Month Home Sweet Home.  I used the cricut Art philosophy cartridge for the flowers, and the Artiste cartridge for the zig zag and the leafy stem.

My last project is another card I made.  For this one I used the Claire Paper Packet, and some Champagne cardstock.  The inks I used are Black and Outdoor Denim.  The little girl I made using the Paper Doll stamp set.  I stamped her clothes on colored cardstock and cut them all out.  I added a little bit of Liquid Glass to the glass of lemonade!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you saw something you liked while here!  Be sure to go to my CTMH website and check out all the neat things in our Idea Book!  www.scrappinwithj.ctmh.com
Come back real soon!  (and leave me some comments before you go and tell me what you think of my projects!)

Something new for me!

Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by!
Today I have to show you something new I tried.  I am pretty excited because it is something I NEVER thought I would do, let alone enjoy!  Digital Scrapbooking!!  CTMH offers StudioJ, which you can link off my website HERE!  If you have never tried digital scrapping, this is a good time to give it a whirl, because for the month of February all 2 page layouts are only $5 each.  And it is sooooo easy!  You can do a lot of different things, even change the colors!  I have a lot to learn yet, but given time I think it could be just as fun as regular scrapbooking.   If you decide to give it a try, when you go to purchase your layouts, be sure to join one of the open gatherings on my site, as the purchase of layouts goes towards Hostess Rewards for a gathering hostess!  And...don't forget the layouts are on sale through the month of Febraury!!
Here is one I did.  Remember, I have only done 5 so this is a beginner attempt!
I also did one without embellishments, so I can embellish it when it arrives and will have the dimension of the embellishments!  I will post BEFORE and AFTER pictures of it when I get it done!  But in the mean while, here are my other 3 layouts.

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you get a chance, go check out Studio J and give it a try!  You can create a layout to play and see if you like it without having to purchase any, and be sure and SAVE them so when you go back they will still be there!
Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm still here!

Hello my friends!  Sorry if it seems I have been ignoring you lately.  Just been busy and haven't had much crafting time!  I did manage to get a couple of swaps done recently though and am going to share the projects from them with you today!
The first one was a Secret Santa Swap on the cricut message board.  My person to secretly send to was Armywife25.  Along with some store bought goodies off of her wishlist, I also sent her a little 5x7 countdown to Christms chalkboard:

Santa and his sleigh, as well as the letters, are cut out on the Cricut, the buttons and ribbon are from my stash, and I made the little felt stocking by hand, and used it to hold the chalk!

I also sent her this winter wreath that I made.  When DeniseB. came down to my crop in October she was making a halloween one like this and it turned out soooo cute!  My DIL, Jessica, and I decided then that we would have to try them for Christmas or winter!  This one is actually a smaller version, because it would of taken a pretty big box to mail the bigger one!  I also thought she might have more chances of a smaller place to hang one!  The frame for it I got at JoAnn's, and then used blue tulle, tied onto the frame.  Wish they would of had a lighter shade of blue, but this one worked!  I made the snowman face freehand, and the snowflakes are cut from glittery paper using CheeryLynn Designs snowflake dies.
I see the W has slipped a little, hope it didn't ship to her that way!  The letters were cut on the Cricut.
I also made a card for her.  I used stamps from the Magnolia Christmas 2012 collection for it, and paper from my stash.  Copic markers to color, as that is my 'crayon' of choice!
The snowflakes don't show up very good on the left side but I used a punch for them.  Words are a rub on from my stash, and I also used plenty of stickles!!  here is a pic showing how I used pop dots too!  Gives it some dimension!
I hope Amanda enjoyed her stuff I made as well as the goodies I sent her to play with!
I also was in the Christmas Magnolia Swap, hosted by Scrappichic.  (she is such a good swap hostess!) My partner this month was Evelyn and since it was an 'anything ' goes round, I chose to make her a winter frame.
Everything I used on this was from my stash (yes, I do have a LOT of stuff in my stash! and again I used plenty of stickles!  I just don't think I can do snow anymore without stickles!!  Even the chipboard snowflakes have been stickled!  Coloring was done with copic markers, frame was bought at Walmart.  My cardstock to color on it Xpress-it, which is the best I have found to use with copic markers.  Here are some close-ups of the Tilda's:

That is what I have been up to lately!  It is already Dec 9 and I don't even have my Christmas tree up yet!  Where is the time flying to so fast?  I think if this rain would turn to snow it would help a lot!  Hope your Christmas preparations are going well and that you are taking time to enjoy the season of joy!
Stop back by soon, and Happy Craftin!
