Sisters are special

Hello everyone!
I just had to post this morning and show you all how special my sisters (Bev and Nan) and sister in law (Susie) are to me!  for the last few years they have invited me to go to 'quilt retreat' with them at Homestead Cabin Retreat up in Wisconsin.  And it is the most relaxing, wonderful few days!  I dont quilt while there, but I scrapbook and get a lot done!  This past year I didn't get to go because, well, it just didn't work out for me.  On the way up they found this pattern in a quilt shop (yes, on the way we stop at a quilt shop usually, but I do find lace and buttons there!!) and sine I wasn't with them and they were missing me, they got it and all 3 of them made it for me!  Here a couple of weeks ago they gave it to me, and now it hangs proudly on my scraproom wall!!  Don't you  just love it?
You can bet I was missing them as much as they were missing me, and this year I WILL BE WITH THEM!!!!!!  Thanks sisters!!  Love you all 3!!!

I have been MIA, but busy!

Hello everyone!  Sorry I never posted during the holiday season, but I kept really busy!  Here is a pic of what I cut out of Vinyl with my Cricut and put on the living room wall.  It is a little crooked, but so is my eyesite I think!

And then in the last couple of weeks before Christmas I got the wild and crazy idea to make 3 couch size quilts!  Yes, I know, really should of allowed myself a little more time for these!!  The Bears one I made first was for Josh and Jess.  I got to watch them on Skype open it on Christmas morning and I think they loved it!  Then I also made a Bears one for Kim, and a Packers one for Andy.  Now, Andy is tall so I wanted to make his a little longer but think I may of over compensated!!  Josh and Jess's is a little wider cause I wanted them to be able to snuggle under it together, and Kim's is the smallest.  Think this pic is probablyJosh's, but other than the size both Bears ones are the same.  Making these turned out to be a real challenge because by the time I got to work on Kim and Andy's, Joey was out of school for break and here for daycare.  So I had to swear him to secrecy on Andy's and told him the Bears one was for Josh.  Little did he know I had already mailed theirs to them, and the Bears one I was working on was for his mom!  But he kept my secret and everyone was surprised!!     Maybe next year I will make them for the kids, but if I do, I will start on them a lot sooner than 2 weeks before Christmas!

And no, I didn't send the cat out to CO with the quilt!!

Now I am working on an altered journal for a Magnolia Swap I am in on the Cricut Message Board.  My partner is Dalia and she has posted a couple of sneek peeks of my journal and it is going to be beautiful!!

That is all for now.  I will try to post back sooner this time!!
Have a great week everyone, and Happy craftin!!!!
